Clinical results V-carriers: Expansion

Clinical results V-carriers: Perforation

As far as the Humeca 1:1.5 and 1:3 V-carriers are concerned, the clinical results are identical to the results achieved with conventional skin graft carriers. The pictures on this page show some examples of 1:1,5 and 1:3 expanded grafts that were obtained with Humeca V-carriers (courtesy Red Cross Hospital Beverwijk, The Netherlands and University Hospital Gent, Belgium).

Often the mesh pattern of the graft remains visible after healing of a burn. When optimum cosmetic results are required, a 1:1 perforation graft should be used. The two pictures below show the application of a perforated sheet graft on a burn on the abdomen of a female patient (courtecy UZGent, Belgium). The picture above the left was taken at operation, while the picture below was taken two weeks later. No mesh pattern was visible in the final result.
